Leonard Cohen

I was lucky enough to get to see one of three nights of Leonard Cohen aged
75 performing his hits at IMMA, Dublin. In old grounds surrounded by trees
he played magnificently, memorably "Towers of Song', 'Suzanne' & 'Hallelujah'.
He looked like Sinatra, but sang deeply and simply like Cohen, at some points
speaking his lyrics with no music to a hushed 10,000 crowd. A great Saturday night
and certainly time to revisit his albums.

Sad to hear that Swedish Jazz legend piano player Esbjorn Svensson died in a scuba diving accident.
His trio wowed audiences around Europe and he brought a love of music to everyone
he played to. RIP.
